Beach Weddings in Cancun - under the turquoise Caribbean Sea?

Cancun in the Yucatan coast is a tropical paradise with many options for a beautiful and unforgettable beach wedding. Your most difficult decision will be where your Cancun beach wedding ceremony should take place. From tropical gardens and sandy beaches nearly touching the Caribbean sea to gazebos surrounded by acres of blue pools, an extraordinary beach wedding site is the perfect beginning to a memorable special day. Moreover, the Cancun hotel zone offers extensive choices because it's the center of the Mexican Caribbean.

In Mexico, as in many other countries around the world, the civil marriage is the legally binding ceremony that changes your marital status from single to married. The judge who performs the ceremony may do it in the Registry Office (Registro Civil) or outside the office in the place of your choice. The documents needed to apply for the wedding license are as follows: full blood tests, an interview with a medical professional, valid passport, a birth certificate which must be translated in Mexico by an authorized legal translator, the Mexican tourist visa, divorce decree or death certificate of spouse if applicable (copies). You also need four witnesses; if they are foreigners they must present valid passports and visas.

For religious or spiritual ceremonies the minister requires two witnesses. If you decide you want a religious ceremony, please bear in mind that you must conduct the civil ceremony to legalize your marriage. You can either do it in Mexico or back home in accordance with the laws of your own country.

Many of the larger hotels in the state have their own wedding coordinators and offer services ranging from a simple Cancun beach wedding ceremony to a full-blown event with a reception, musicians and dancing, and honeymoon packages. BTW, in Mexico, it is still classy to marry on a boat, either at sea, on the lagoon, or sailing towards one of the nearby islands. You can also have a typical Mexican beach wedding and the Mayan ceremony. Or do you wish to marry under the turquoise Caribbean Sea? Yes, this is also possible, and some couples do it for the fun of having their beach wedding in Cancun.
